Schooldays in New England: 1650-1900, will examine the culture of education in New England and adjacent areas of New York and Canada from the seventeenth through the nineteenth centuries. The program will consist of approximately seventeen lectures of twenty minutes each, with related tours. Professional development points will be available for public school teachers.
Selected papers will appear as the 2015 Annual Proceedings of the Dublin Seminar, to be issued about eighteen months after the conference. The conference will also feature a field trip to historic area schoolhouses.
The conference is scheduled for June 19, 2015 – June 21, 2015, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm in Deerfield, Massachusetts.
