Humanities First reviews essays, journal articles, and book manuscripts for grammar, content, and context. As a nonprofit organization, we are able to provide top-notch copy editing, proofreading, and content analysis at a reasonable cost. We provide substantial advantages to writers who are preparing manuscripts for submission.
We have three levels of editing for Books & Articles, Book Proposals, and Dissertations:
- Developmental Editing
- Single-round Prose review
- Proofreading
Pricing
Every manuscript is unique. Humanities First evaluates every assignment individually before calculating an exact rate, however, most projects fit within the following price ranges:
- Developmental Editing: $.030 per word ($30.00 per every 1,000 words).
- Single Round Prose Review: $.026 ($26.00 per every 1,000 words)
- Proofreading: $.024 per word ($24.00 per every 1,000 words)
Individual rates will vary, depending on the length and scope of the project as well as your individual needs. All of your work will remain absolutely confidential. We will destroy all files related to your manuscript upon finalization of the project, unless otherwise requested.
