The Department of English at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. seeks to make an appointment at the assistant professor level for a scholar of high and late medieval English literature, preferably with expertise in a second research field and interest in interdisciplinary studies. The department specializes in literary history and aesthetics, and is interested in candidates whose research is deeply invested in these approaches. The appointee is expected to contribute to the work of the English Department as well as of the Center for Medieval and Byzantine Studies. Ph.D. expected at time of appointment.
