Call For Papers – The Future of History Conference

The Department of History at Calhoun Community College requests proposals for the 2015 Continuing Education in History Conference. Proposals for individual papers and complete workshops are both welcome.

The proposals should address one or more of the conference themes, which are:

  • Innovative teaching methods used to teach history and related subjects at the high school, college, or university levels
  • Methods of study applicable to the study of history and related subjects at the high school, college, or university levels
  • The creation of cooperative relationships between high schools, community colleges, and universities

The proposal should be clear and concise and must include the following:

  • A statement that indicates if you are proposing a single paper and expecting to present for roughly fifteen minutes or a complete workshop that will last about one hour.
  • A title that accurately reflects your content.
  • Brief description of your work, 75-100 words in length.
  • Contact information for each presenter, including name, title, institutional affiliation, address, phone number, and email address; and any technological needs for your presentation.

Please submit proposals in PDF or Word format to ceconference@calhoun.edu no later than June 5, 2015. Presenters will be notified no later than June 10, 2015. Conference will take place on June 26, 2015 in Decatur Alabama. For more information please visit http://calhoun.edu/historyconference
