Job Posting: Assistant or Associate Professor of Native North American Indigenous Experience, University of Southern California

The Department of American Studies & Ethnicity, Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, University of Southern California, in Los Angeles, California, is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor or tenured associate professor in the field of Native North American Indigenous Experience with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2015. The successful candidate will be an intellectually expansive scholar trained in the humanities, social sciences or a related interdisciplinary field specializing in North American Native American studies. The candidate must have a doctoral degree in appropriate field of study prior to appointment.

They will begin reviewing applications on October 1, 2014. Applications should include: 1) A letter of application that specifically addresses the candidate’s qualifications for the position, with areas of specialization, research and teaching interests clearly identified, 2) a current CV, 3) the contact information of three individuals who can provide letters of reference, and 4) a writing sample (limited to 40 pages).
