Humanities First is seeking a freelance copy editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with academic texts and thorough understanding of standard style guides (APA, MLA, CMS, etc.). Familiarity with the humanities is vital, as is an ability to build collaborative relationships with writers. Experience working with ESL manuscripts is desired.
Responsibilities include:
- Proofreading books, articles and book proposals
- Application of style guides to footnotes and bibliographies
